All Dinner Club members are interviewed so we get to meet you personally. Interests and age range preferences are recorded. Everyone must also provide personal identification such as a Drivers Licence to verify their identity.

Members advise us on a regular basis by telephone or email of the dates they would be available to attend dinners. We arrange dinners for six people (3 males and 3 females) and advise you of the restaurant and the code name the table is booked under. For discretion purposes the name Dinner at Eight is not mentioned. You arrive at the restaurant and meet your dinner companions.

Dinners are held on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
An initial registration/membership fee and a $30.00 service fee is charged for arranging each dinner.


We use restaurants in areas such as Hawthorn, Prahran, Sth Melbourne, Richmond, Armadale and Carlton. Restaurants are chosen from the "Age Good Food Guide" and we personally visit each restaurant to ensure they're suitable for our clients. Restaurants are selected on the basis of value for money and quality of service.
You pay individually for your meal which will be arranged with the restaurant.
Generally the price range for a main course is between $18 - $27.

At the dinner we encourage social networking so you can give your phone number to anyone you meet on the night or if you prefer, call our office and we will pass on your number to the person of your choice. It’s that simple! A tried and true formula that works.
