“Taste of Melbourne”
As our newest campaign, Dinner at Eight invites you to explore the many special places that make Melbourne the fantastic and diverse city that it is! Encompassing a variety of different venues and attractions, the Taste of Melbourne will expose you to new and exciting dining and entertainment experiences, in the social environment of the dinner club. We hope this will be a good way for our members to try our greater variety of interesting, quirky, unusual but always tasty food places. From the Taco Truck to the Tramcar Restaurant, come taste Melbourne with us!
Event 2: The Colonial Tramcar Restaurant (TBA)
"A famous fleet of historical trams that have become the Colonial Tramcar Restaurant. These glossy, burgundy restaurants on wheels are the first travelling Tramcar Restaurants in the world and ensure a delightful innovative approach to dining.
As they cruise the city streets of Melbourne, diners can enjoy our seasonal menu, quality Australian wines or make a selection from our fully stocked bar at an all inclusive price
The atmosphere is cosy, the service friendly and the decor as inviting as the colonial period these trams reflect. Since their inception in 1983, the restaurants have become a star attraction and a tourism symbol for Melbourne. Dining with us is not only a culinary delight, but a trip into a little piece of Victoria’s history."

Dinner at Eight Supports Movember!
During November each year, Movember is responsible for the sprouting of moustaches on thousands of men’s faces in Australia and around the world. The aim of which is to raise vital funds and awareness for men’s health, specifically prostate cancer and depression in men.
On the 1st of “Movember", guys register at Movember.com with a clean-shaven face. Then for the rest of the month, these selfless and generous men (known as Mo Bros) groom, trim and wax their way into the annals of fine moustachery. Supported by the women in their lives (Mo Sistas), Movember Mo Bros raise funds by seeking out sponsorship for their Mo growing efforts.
Mo Bros effectively become walking, talking billboards for the 30 days of November, and through their actions and words raise awareness by prompting private and public conversation around the often ignored issue of men’s health.
At the end of the month, Mo Bros and their Mo Sistas celebrate their gallantry and valor by either throwing their own Movember party or attending one of the infamous Gala Partés held around the world by Movember, for Movember.
"Join Dinner at Eight and Grow a Mo"
For any males interested in the Movember campaign, if you are interested in joining Dinner at Eight, by mentioning "Movember" we will donate $20 to the campaign or if you show up with a moustache we will donate $30.
Still want to help support Movember? Come join Dinner at Eight for a fun day of sun and exercise at the “Mo Running” or an exciting night of music, munchies and moustaches at the “Movember Gala Partes”
